Level II, Twos Room
JoHanna has been working for Bates-Rich since 2011. She began with us as an after school high school helper. JoHanna began working full-time in the Twos Room soon after graduation, and in September of 2016 she completed her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She was also promoted to Level II (Lead) teacher in the Twos Room. JoHanna is well-loved by the families at Bates-Rich and we are so proud of her professional growth since starting with us.

All Level II (Lead) Teachers have a minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) or a college diploma. Pre-K and Kindergarten Teachers are New York State Certified Teachers, and they sign an annual contract.
Level I (Assistant) Teachers have college-based learning and relevant work experience.
Teacher's Aides come from a variety of backgrounds and are supported and trained by teachers who are present with them at all times.
Teachers maintain current CPR and Emergency First Aid training. Most Level II Teachers are also MAT Certified, having completed an extensive training program to enable them to administer medication.
A flexible work schedule and access to scholarships allows staff to pursue continuing education so that they may further their career in early childhood.
